How far should you stand back from the fire to put it out?
Aim at base of the fire and stand back 6 ft. for fighting fires. Fire First Aide has a range from 3 to 10 ft.  Fire First Aide is most effective at 3 ft. and least effective at 10 ft.  Safety always comes first.  Assess the situation and call 911 if fire is past the 911 stage.

How long does Fire First Aide last?
The efficacy of the chemical inside the can is 10 years. The EP Spray system will hold air coincidentally for 10 years.

How long will Fire First Aide dispense the fire-fighting chemical?
Fire First Aide lasts about 25 seconds. In the case of a small kitchen fire it doesn’t take but a few seconds to put it out.

What kind of square ft. can FFA cover?
Fire First Aide covers 10x10-ft. area. Remember that Fire First Aide is first line of defense. Empty entire contents of can.  If fire is not controlled call 911.

I just tried a traditional fire extinguisher and it was able to perform upside down. I pushed the trigger once, let go, waited, sprayed again and it still worked.   Fire First Aide claims it can spray in any position and be reused in several different areas. Why is that special?
Commercial fire extinguishers don’t keep pressure after releasing the sprayer. There is a propellant in traditional fire extinguishers.  Normally cans with propellants lose pressure when sprayed upside down.

What is UL listed?  What is ULC listed?
Contents of Fire First Aide are UL Listed. This means Underwriters Laboratories accredited the chemicals of Fire First Aide as safe and non-toxic. ULC means Fire First Aide is accredited in Canada, also.

What does ABS certified mean?
ABS is the “American Bureau of Shipping”. ABS has approved Fire First Aide’s chemical as an effective agent in fighting Class “a” and “b” fires aboard ships, barges, marine terminals, and platforms. It’s classed as a Hydrocarbon Mitigation Agent/Fire Fighting Agent. The (D.O.T.) Department of Transportation also classifies fire First Aide non-flammable, non-hazardous.

Fire First Aide is pH Neutral, in laymen terms what does that mean?
Non-acidic. Harmless.

Fire First Aide does not contain Chloroflurocarbons or Hydrocarbons.  Why is this so important?
Chloroflurocarbons and Hydrocarbons are on ATSDR/EPA top 20 list of dangerous substances. Fire First Aide’s EP Spray system sets us apart from any other delivery system. Chloroflurocarbons and Hydrocarbons are dangerous gases. These gases are used as propellants in other spray cans or aerosols. These gases add a hazmat charge in shipping costs. To ship by air you would have to have a certified shipper, which involves taking special classes for shipping hazardous chemicals.

Our can has nothing but air in it…the air we breathe everyday. Very environmentally safe.

What will happen if product goes outside temperature ranges?  Will it freeze up or explode?
Under any normal circumstances dangerous temperatures will not occur. You can throw this can into a fire and nothing would happen. The can would eventually breach and the air would come out of it. THERE ARE NO DANGEROUS CHEMICALS INVOLVED IN OUR DELIVERY SYSTEM.

Why is the Western Fire Chiefs Assoc. seal of approval important?
This assoc. helps evaluate and set fire code policies. It is a 100-year-old organization of Fire Chiefs. We are the only Fire Extinguisher they have ever endorsed. It is a big deal to have their endorsement.

What are the contents in Fire First Aide?
The contents of the Fire First Aide are proprietary information. The actual chemical is used for forest fires and oil spills because of its environmentally safe ingredients.

What happens if the product is sprayed on clothing, carpet, stove or countertops?
Because the ingredient is pH neutral, clean up only requires soap and water.

Is Fire First Aide considered an aerosol?
No, the can has a self contained pouch, which is dispensed by compressed air. The product is both environmentally and people safe.

Why is Fire First Aide called a suppressant, not extinguisher?
The contents of "Fire First Aide" are UL listed. Kidde and First Alert have a packaging UL listing because they want to meet standards for Commercial Fire Extinguishers. Commercial Fire Extinguishers must also be rated for class "A", "B". and "C" fires. Since there are no regulations written for residential or personal use, we don't need a UL listing for our packaging. Magnolia Marketing Group will never use the term fire extinguisher when promoting our product. We consider our product a household appliance.
